I&#8217;m pleased to show it here. Just <em>look<\/em> at that lovely snowflake! <em>And<\/em> Ms. Swarner&#8217;s <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.theispot.com\/artist\/kswarner\/\">portfolio<\/a><\/strong>. And <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www2.childrensillustrators.com\/illustrator.cgi\/Kristina\">this<\/a><\/strong>, too. And <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.embracingthechild.org\/aswarner.html\">here&#8217;s<\/a><\/strong> an &#8217;05 feature at <em>Embracing the Child<\/em>. Her work is not familiar to me, but I have now found a new illustrator whose books I must explore. I really like her style. According to my web search, her most recent illustrated title is <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Bedtime-Shma-Sarah-Gershman\/dp\/0939144549\/ref=sr_1_7\/103-8766122-1368663?ie=UTF8&#038;s=books&#038;qid=1195003281&#038;sr=8-7\"><em><strong>The Bedtime Sh&#8217;ma: A Good Night Book<\/strong><\/em><\/a>, written by Sarah Gershman and published this year by EKS Publishing. She also illustrated Doris Gayzagian&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/One-White-Wishing-Stone-Counting\/dp\/0792251105\/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1\/103-8766122-1368663?ie=UTF8&#038;s=books&#038;qid=1195003506&#038;sr=1-1\"><em><strong>One White Wishing Stone: A Beach Day Counting Book<\/strong><\/em><\/a> in 2006 (published by National Geographic) and 2005&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Before-Were-Born-Howard-Schwartz\/dp\/1596430281\/ref=pd_bbs_sr_2\/103-8766122-1368663?ie=UTF8&#038;s=books&#038;qid=1195003714&#038;sr=1-2\"><em><strong>Before You Were Born<\/strong><\/em><\/a> (Roaring Brook Press), a retelling by <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.umsl.edu\/~schwartzh\/\">Howard Schwartz<\/a><\/strong> of a Jewish legend in which Lailah, a guardian angel, places the indentation that everyone has on the upper lip just before a baby is born. <!--more--><\/p>\n<p>If you missed them, you can read yesterday&#8217;s features <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/blaine.org\/sevenimpossiblethings\/?p=1009\">here<\/a><\/strong>.
