I&#8217;m happy to be able to feature it. It was created by <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.rebeccaguay.com\/\">Rebecca Guay<\/a><\/strong> and can be bidded upon in <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.kintera.org\/faf\/auction\/auctionIndex.asp?ievent=247265&#038;lis=1&#038;kntae247265=6841EF17E83749A797A085FA24833E0F\">Auction 3<\/a><\/strong>. Guay&#8217;s most recent illustrated book, I believe, is <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Mutis-Necklace-Oldest-Story-World\/dp\/0618535837\/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&#038;s=books&#038;qid=1195359745&#038;sr=8-1\"><em><strong>Muti&#8217;s Necklace: The Oldest Story in the World<\/strong><\/em><\/a> (Houghton Mifflin, 2006), written by <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.louisehawes.com\/\">Louise Hawes<\/a><\/strong> and described by <em>School Library Journal<\/em> as &#8220;an original fairy tale about familial love and its power to thwart even the majesty of Pharaoh,&#8221; the adaptation of and expansion of an ancient Egyptian story. She also illustrated <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.janeyolen.com\">Jane Yolen<\/a><\/strong> and <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.heidistemple.com\/\">Heidi E. Y. Stemple&#8217;s<\/a><\/strong> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Barefoot-Book-Ballet-Stories\/dp\/1841482293\/ref=pd_sim_b_img_1\"><strong><em>The Barefoot Book of Ballet Stories<\/em><\/strong><\/a>, published in 2004.  <\/p>\n<p>And, just because I know of at least three more snowflakes that are new but not snagged by a blogger to feature, I&#8217;ll show you one more today (and can show you the other two tomorrow when I wrap up Blogging for a Cure and everyone starts bidding on snowflakes). This one (below) was created by <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.americanfolkart.com\/kjakobsen.html\">Kathy Jakobsen<\/a><\/strong>, one of America&#8217;s premier folk artists. Having lived once before near D.C., I like that there&#8217;s a snowflake out there for us cherry-blossom lovers. Kathy&#8217;s most recent illustrated title is <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/My-New-York-Anniversary\/dp\/0316927112\/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&#038;s=books&#038;qid=1195361686&#038;sr=8-1\"><em><strong>My New York: New Anniversary Edition <\/strong><\/em><\/a> (Little, Brown Young Readers, 2003). <\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/blaine.org\/jules\/kathy jakobson1.jpg\"><\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>If you missed them, you can read yesterday&#8217;s features <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/blaine.org\/sevenimpossiblethings\/?p=1019\">here<\/a><\/strong>.
