This time, I discuss <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.loislowry.com\/\">Lois Lowry&#8217;s<\/a><\/strong> new children&#8217;s novel, <em>Bless This Mouse<\/em>, illustrated by <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/blaine.org\/sevenimpossiblethings\/?p=1115\">Eric Rohmann<\/a><\/strong>. And I&#8217;ve got a question for readers, so head on over and join in the discussion, if you&#8217;re so inclined. <\/p>\n<p><center><font size=3><strong>* * * * * * *<\/strong><\/font><\/center><\/p>\n<p>And, if you missed last week&#8217;s column, it&#8217;s <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.kirkusreviews.com\/blog\/childrens\/art-motherhood-ill-be-there-ann-stott-matt-phelan\/\">here<\/a><\/strong>. That&#8217;s my review of Ann Stott&#8217;s and <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/blaine.org\/sevenimpossiblethings\/?p=1790\">Matt Phelan&#8217;s<\/a><\/strong> new picture book, <em>I&#8217;ll Be There<\/em>, as well as a discussion of what I call, for lack of a better phrase, love-you-forever type picture books, all focused on the love between parent and child. Readers weighed in last week with lots of great comments and suggestions, and I&#8217;ll gladly take more suggestions, should folks have them.
