If you&#8217;re interested in international picture books (particularly from South Asia), you might find it a post worth visiting. The link is <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.kirkusreviews.com\/blog\/childrens\/tara-brings-fresh-international-perspectives-pictu\/\">here<\/a><\/strong> this morning. <\/p>\n<p>Also, yesterday morning over at <em>Kirkus<\/em>, I chatted briefly with author\/illustrator <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/tadhills.com\/\">Tad Hills<\/a><\/strong> about his upcoming picture book, <strong><em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.indiebound.org\/book\/9780375870866\">Rocket Writes a Story<\/a><\/em><\/strong>. That link is <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.kirkusreviews.com\/blog\/childrens\/return-rocket\/\">here<\/a><\/strong>, and next week here at 7-Imp I&#8217;ll have some more spreads from that sequel. <\/p>\n<p><center><font size=4><strong>* * *<\/strong><\/font><\/center><\/p>\n<p>Last week at <em>Kirkus<\/em>, I discussed two new little-boy picture book protagonists who make me laugh. First up was <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/adamjblane.com\/\">Adam J.B. Lane&#8217;s<\/a><\/strong> <strong><em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.indiebound.org\/book\/9781596436930\">Stop Thief!<\/a><\/em><\/strong>, to be released later this month by Neal Porter\/Roaring Brook. (An illustration from that book opens this post.) And <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/judithrossell.com\/\">Judith Rossell&#8217;s<\/a><\/strong> <em><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.indiebound.org\/book\/9780062022103\">Oliver<\/a><\/strong><\/em> (HarperCollins, May 2012)&#8212;or What Happens When You Build Your Own Cardboard Submarine and Head Down the Bathtub Drain&#8212;is very funny and a winner all-around.
