Kaaa, KAAA.'&#8221;<\/em><br \/>(Click to enlarge)<\/center><\/p>\n<p>This morning at <em>Kirkus<\/em>, I take a look at the new picture book offering from the very talented author\/illustrator <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/blaine.org\/sevenimpossiblethings\/?p=1917\">Tao Nyeu<\/a><\/strong>, <em>Squid and Octopus: Friends for Always<\/em>. That link is <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.kirkusreviews.com\/blog\/childrens\/squid-and-octopus-best-buddies-under-sea\/\">here<\/a><\/strong> this morning. <\/p>\n<p><center><font size=4><strong>* * *<\/strong><\/font><\/center><\/p>\n<p>Last week at <em>Kirkus<\/em>, I took a look at two new picture book titles from Tara Books, who&#8212;<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.kirkusreviews.com\/blog\/childrens\/tara-brings-fresh-international-perspectives-pictu\/\">as I wrote over at <em>Kirkus<\/em><\/a><\/strong>&#8212;are an independent publisher based in South India. I also mentioned some of their more recent (but not from 2012) titles, and so today I&#8217;ve got illustrations from those older picture books, as well as spreads from the two brand-new ones. <\/p>\n<p>Enjoy the art. <!--more--><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/blaine.org\/jules\/The Great Race_16_17large.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/blaine.org\/jules\/The Great Race_16_17a.jpg\" border=1><\/a><br \/>\n<center><em>&#8220;Before long, every animal in the forest had heard about The Great Race. Think twice, because I am the fastest animal in the forest.&#8217; No one spoke a word. Kanchil looked around at the animals who were gathered. &#8216;Will no one race me?
