I know, I know. Bob Shea<\/a><\/strong> visited 7-Imp back in June<\/a><\/strong> and shared some art from the very wonderful Unicorn Thinks He’s Pretty Great<\/a><\/strong><\/em>, and<\/em> he even gave me and my Imp readers a sneak peek at the book I’m talking about today, which is called Buddy and the Bunnies In: Don’t Play With Your Food!<\/em> But since I like Buddy and the Bunnies<\/em> a lot, since it’s finally out, and since I like Bob’s smart books, I’m posting some more. Oh, and I wrote a review of it for BookPage<\/em> and have<\/em> to follow that up with some art or it just won’t be the same. <\/p>\n

So, here’s<\/a><\/strong> the BookPage<\/em> review, for those who are inclined to read it. <\/p>\n

And below are some sketches and final art from Bob. I thank him for sharing. I love<\/em> seeing these sketches (in particular): It’s the evolution of a monster!<\/p>\n

1)<\/strong><\/font> This has made the rounds a lot this week, but for those of you who haven’t yet seen it, feast your eyes upon children’s book authors reading bad reviews of their books<\/a><\/strong>, for which we have Marc Tyler Nobleman<\/a><\/strong> to thank. Funny stuff. <\/p>\n

2)<\/strong><\/font> As I was typing kicks just now, my nine-year-old inadvertently knocked out a very stubborn loose tooth from the 8-year-old’s mouth. This thing was causing much drama and was just taunting everyone, but one swift pretend ninja kick—yes, they were playing ninjas—and it’s out. No tears. BAM.<\/p>\n

3)<\/strong><\/font> This article<\/a><\/strong> really made me think. <\/p>\n

4)<\/strong><\/font> Go here<\/a><\/strong> and scroll down to the bathroom image. My birthday’s in May. It’s JUST enough time for someone to save up and renovate my tub in this manner. <\/p>\n

5)<\/strong><\/font> I saw Her<\/a><\/em><\/strong> yesterday. I liked it. I’m still thinking about it, and I like crunchy movies like that. <\/p>\n

6)<\/strong><\/font> Hey, looky! Our upcoming book made a BookPage<\/em> most-anticipated list<\/a><\/strong>! <\/p>\n

7)<\/strong><\/font> I mentioned recently that I’m looking forward to new CDs from Nick Waterhouse<\/a><\/strong> and Lost in the Trees<\/a><\/strong>. People are leaking songs! See? <\/p>\n
