Janeczko and illustrated by Melissa Sweet<\/em><br \/>(Candlewick, March 2014)<\/center><br \/>\n<BR>&nbsp;<BR><br \/>\n<BR>&nbsp;<BR><br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/blaine.org\/jules\/littlepoemscover350.JPG\" border=1>Good morning. <\/p>\n<p>Today over at <em>Kirkus<\/em>, I wrote about <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/blaine.org\/sevenimpossiblethings\/?p=1179\">Kadir Nelson&#8217;s<\/a><\/strong> newest book, <em>Baby Bear<\/em>. <\/p>\n<p>I COMPLEEEEETELY FORGOT that I&#8217;d recently read <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.kirkusreviews.com\/features\/finding-home-far-where-home-should-be\/\">a wonderful Q&#038;A over there<\/a><\/strong> about this book &#8212; Jennifer M. Brown chatting with Kadir, that is. Repeat after me: Welcome to the Department of Redundancy Department. <\/p>\n<p>But at least <em>Kirkus<\/em> was nice about it and posted my column anyway. <\/p>\n<p>So, what I suggest is that you read <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.kirkusreviews.com\/features\/finding-home-far-where-home-should-be\/\">Jennifer&#8217;s Q&#038;A<\/a><\/strong>. If you want to read <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.kirkusreviews.com\/features\/bear-finds-his-way\/\">my thoughts on the book<\/a><\/strong>, knock yourself out. Next week, I&#8217;ll follow-up with some art from Kadir. <\/p>\n<p><center>* * *<\/center><\/p>\n<p>Last week (<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.kirkusreviews.com\/features\/year-poetry\/\">here<\/a><\/strong>), I talked about new some new poetry picture book titles, and today I have some art from them. I didn&#8217;t manage to secure spreads in time from <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.linoliverproductions.com\/\">Lin Oliver&#8217;s<\/a><\/strong> wonderful <em>Little Poems for Tiny Ears<\/em>, illustrated by <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.tomie.com\/\">Tomie dePaola<\/a><\/strong> (which is a really superb book).
