\nI know I shouldn’t use the word “nerd” to describe someone who merely has a deep and abiding passion for something—it’s not entirely fair—but there’s just no two ways about it: My column over at Kirkus<\/em> today is for fellow picture book nerds. As in, you’d have to seriously geek out over illustration to appreciate it. <\/p>\n

That link is here<\/a><\/strong>. The best part is where Alex Spiro says, “we did this because it mattered.” Ah. Gotta love publishers who take such care<\/em> with picture books. <\/p>\n
