Also, yesterday at BookPage<\/em> my interview with author-illustrator Cece Bell<\/a><\/strong> went up, as well as my review of El Deafo<\/em>, her graphic novel. Last week, I wrote here<\/a><\/strong> about J. Patrick Lewis’<\/a><\/strong> Harlem Hellfighters<\/em> (Creative Editions, August 2014), illustrated by Gary Kelley<\/a><\/strong>. And guess what? I saw yesterday that it up and won an Original Art Award from the Society of Illustrators. See here<\/a><\/strong> for more information and the other winners. <\/p>\n
