B. Lewis, and Kathleen Benson\u2019s <em>Draw What You See: The Life and Art of Benny Andrews<\/em>, which includes the paintings of Andrews. That link is <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.kirkusreviews.com\/features\/making-waves-making-difference\/\">here<\/a><\/strong>. <\/p>\n<p><center>* * *<\/center><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/blaine.org\/7pics\/2015\/01\/Elephant Who Liked to Smash 10-11cutting.jpg\">Last week, I wrote <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.kirkusreviews.com\/features\/when-old-becomes-new-again\/\">here<\/a><\/strong> about some picture book reissues, including Dahlov Ipcar&#8217;s <em>Black and White<\/em>, originally published in 1963 with a new edition coming from Flying Eye Books this April; Margaret Wise Brown&#8217;s <em>The Golden Bunny<\/em>, illustrated by Leonard Weisgard and originally released in 1953 (out on shelves again this month, thanks to Golden Books); Jean Merrill&#8217;s <em>The Elephant Who Liked to Smash Small Cars<\/em> (pictured left), illustrated by Ronni Solbert, originally released in 1964, and coming to shelves in March from The New York Children&#8217;s Collection; Peter Spier&#8217;s <em>The Book of Jonah<\/em>, originally published in 1985 and coming to shelves again at the end of this month from Doubleday; and Chris Van Allsburg&#8217;s <em>Just a Dream<\/em>, which turns 25 this year.
