I think he has inspired me more than anyone. As a tutor, he was always very positive and encouraging. Initially, I had a very small and clich\u00e9d idea of what a children\u2019s picture book should be. Raymond\u2019s work made me realize the potential of a picture book &#8212; that its boundaries and possibilities are wide and exciting and, mostly, that I\u2019m only limited by my imagination.\u201d<\/font><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><center>* * *<\/center><\/p>\n<p>Over at <em>Kirkus<\/em> today, I talk to Australian author-illustrator <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.jeanniebaker.com\/\">Jeannie Baker<\/a><\/strong>, pictured here, about her newest picture book, <em>Circle<\/em> (Candlewick, May 2016). <\/p>\n<p>That is <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.kirkusreviews.com\/features\/reaching-new-heights-jeannie-baker\/\">here<\/a><\/strong> this morning.
