Forgive me for my brevity today, but I think we’re all feeling rather fragile this week — maybe more so than normal, given the events in Las Vegas and our dim-witted, short-sighted Congress, who seem poised to do nothing<\/em> about gun control. <\/p>\n

I’m spending this weekend offline as much as I can (though I will<\/em> show up Sunday to read your kicks, because they make life better) and spending as much of it as I can with my family. My girls are on their school’s Fall Break this week anyway. <\/p>\n
