1)<\/strong><\/font> My youngest daughter packed me a lunch when she found out I often skip it, and she left a sweet note in my lunch bag. (I’m always impressed by how consistently kind both girls are. May they always be so.)<\/p>\n

2)<\/strong><\/font> Renewed focus on a writing project. <\/p>\n

3)<\/strong><\/font> Eisha and her boyfriend were in town this past week! <\/p>\n

4)<\/strong><\/font> Book club plans tonight, where we plan on looking at stacks and stacks of wonderful 2017 picture books, since …<\/p>\n

5)<\/strong><\/font> … the ALA Youth Media Awards will be announced in 14 days<\/a><\/strong>!<\/p>\n

6)<\/strong><\/font> I don’t know if this link will work, but this very enjoyable Twitter thread<\/a><\/strong> took up entirely took much of my time.<\/p>\n

7)<\/strong><\/font> My girls have created their Caldecatt seal, the criteria for their fake award being a book that is a) well-written and -illustrated and b) has a main character, not necessarily limited to the purrtagonist, who is a cat who DOES STUFF. (The cat can’t just sit<\/em> there, they have stipulated.)
