They are books about snow, and at this point, snow is something I can only dream of here in Tennessee. (It&#8217;s a record-breaking 70 degrees outside as I type.) Okay, we <em>did<\/em> have some flurries before the holidays. Just a bit. For that, I&#8217;m grateful. I hope we see some more. <\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The picture book round-up includes Ellen Yeomans\u2019 <em>Some Snow Is &#8230;<\/em>, illustrated by <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.andreaoffermann.com\/\">Andrea Offerman<\/a><\/strong>; <em>Snowy Race<\/em>, written by <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.apriljonesprince.com\/\">April Jones Prince<\/a><\/strong> and illustrated by <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.christinedavenier.com\/\">Christine Davenier<\/a><\/strong>; and <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Gary_D._Schmidt\">Gary D. Schmidt&#8217;s<\/a><\/strong> and Elizabeth Stickney&#8217;s <em>Almost Time<\/em> (pictured above), illustrated by <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.gbriankaras.com\/\">G. Brian Karas<\/a><\/strong>. (I&#8217;ve been a fan since 1987, so I&#8217;m not sure how this slipped past me. 1994 was the year I graduated from college.
