{"id":5142,"date":"2020-07-08T00:01:36","date_gmt":"2020-07-08T06:01:36","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blaine.org\/sevenimpossiblethings\/?p=5142"},"modified":"2020-07-08T07:46:18","modified_gmt":"2020-07-08T13:46:18","slug":"welcoming-edith-campbell-to-the-niblings","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/blaine.org\/sevenimpossiblethings\/?p=5142","title":{"rendered":"Welcoming Edith Campbell to The Niblings!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/blaine.org\/jules\/NiblingsFBbanner_2013-02-25at12.20.44usefeb.png\"><br \/>\n<BR>&nbsp;<BR><br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/blaine.org\/7pics\/2020\/07\/ediniblings.jpg\">It&#8217;s time for one more Niblings introduction! <\/p>\n<p>If you saw <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/blaine.org\/sevenimpossiblethings\/?p=5136\">this post<\/a><\/strong> from a couple weeks ago, then you&#8217;ll remember what it means when I say &#8220;The Niblings&#8221; and that we welcomed librarian Erika Long into the fold. <\/p>\n<p>We&#8217;d also like to welcome yet another librarian extraordinaire to our social media presence \u2014 Edith Campbell. This means that Edith will join us in sharing posts of interest in the field of children&#8217;s and YA lit. <\/p>\n<p>Edith is an associate education librarian in the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/library.indstate.edu\/\">Cunningham Memorial Library<\/a><\/strong> at Indiana State University. As part of the Reference and Instruction team, she serves as the liaison to the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.indstate.edu\/education\/\">Bayh College of Education<\/a><\/strong>. Edith has served on several book committees, including the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/diversebooks.org\/our-programs\/walter-award\/\">Walter Awards<\/a><\/strong> (We Need Diverse Books), YALSA\u2019s <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.ala.org\/yalsa\/printz\">Printz Award<\/a><\/strong>, and ALSC\u2019s <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.ala.org\/alsc\/awardsgrants\/bookmedia\/sibertmedal\">Sibert Award<\/a><\/strong>. She currently reviews for the <em><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.childrensliteratureassembly.org\/journal.html\">Journal of Children\u2019s Literature<\/a><\/strong><\/em> and serves on the Advisory Board for the online peer-reviewed journal, <em><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/sophia.stkate.edu\/rdyl\/\">Research on Diversity in Youth Literature<\/a><\/strong><\/em>. Her research interests include valuing Black children in youth literature and implementation of critical literacy practices in libraries. Edith was a founding member of <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/socialjusticebooks.org\/about\/see-what-we-see\/\">See What We See<\/a><\/strong> and <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/wtpsite.com\/\">We Are Kidlit Collective<\/a><\/strong>. She blogs to promote literacy, decolonization, and social justice in young adult literature at <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/crazyquiltedi.blog\/\"><em>CrazyQuiltsEdi<\/em><\/a><\/strong>.
