It seems like it wasn&#8217;t that long ago that I was saying that I had plans for a Sunday post that I was temporarily setting aside so that I could <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/blaine.org\/sevenimpossiblethings\/?p=5150\">mark the death of an American luminary<\/a><\/strong>. I&#8217;d like to do this again. I&#8217;m taking this space here today, given the news of <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2020\/09\/18\/us\/ruth-bader-ginsburg-dead.html\">the death of Ruth Bader Ginsburg<\/a><\/strong>, to mark this profound loss. <\/p>\n<p>On social media, I noticed that various children&#8217;s book illustrators were paying tribute\u2014with either previous illustrations of Ginsburg or ones they&#8217;d drawn on the spot when they heard the sad news this weekend. I&#8217;m sharing some of those here today. In 2016, Baddeley illustrated <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/debbielevybooks.com\/\">Debbie Levy\u2019s<\/a><\/strong> <em>I Dissent: Ruth Bader Ginsburg Makes Her Mark<\/em>. I wrote about that book <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.kirkusreviews.com\/news-and-features\/articles\/notorious-dissension\/\">here<\/a><\/strong>, if you&#8217;d like to read more about it, and I have some art from it <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/blaine.org\/sevenimpossiblethings\/?p=4220\">here<\/a><\/strong>.
