\nIt was my pleasure to review for the Horn Book<\/em> the latest picture book from Kevin Henkes. It’s called A House<\/em> (Greenwillow, September 2021), and that review is here<\/a><\/strong>. <\/p>\n

Here at 7-Imp today, Henkes shares some early sketches, as well as a few images that served as inspiration for this book. I thank him for sharing. <\/p>\n

Kevin<\/font><\/strong>: The first\/main inspiration for A House<\/em> was seeing a reproduction of Paul Klee\u2019s<\/a><\/strong> Three Houses<\/a><\/strong><\/em> (1922) in a magazine a couple years ago.
