(I&#8217;m slow, and you all may already know this!) It wasn&#8217;t till I was goofing around on Instagram yesterday that I learned that illustrator <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.comingupforair.net\/\">Matthew Forsythe<\/a><\/strong> designed the upcoming new short film from <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.aardman.com\/\">Aardman<\/a><\/strong> (coming to Netflix in November). <em>Robin Robin<\/em> is what Forsythe describes as a holiday musical (directed by Dan Ojari and Michael Please). If you head to <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/mattforsythe\/\">Forsythe&#8217;s page at Instagram<\/a><\/strong>, you can see some of his design work (in a few of his more recent posts). One of those images is pictured above. <\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>In my review (not out yet) at the <em>Horn Book<\/em> of Forsythe&#8217;s newest picture book (not out yet), I wrote: &#8220;More, please, of Forsythe\u2019s richly imagined forest worlds.&#8221; Looks like my wish will come true \u2014 and in a whole other medium! I&#8217;m excited. (No spoilers, promise.) <\/p>\n<p><font size=4><strong>7)<\/strong><\/font> Andrea Davis Pinkney <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/CVf60-3Pn_4\/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link\">honoring her father-in-law at Instagram<\/a><\/strong> by writing, in part: &#8220;If you want to extend the gifts Jerry Pinkney brought to this world, please connect with a child today. Get a book. Read together. Pay special attention to the young people who are on the fringes, the ones who struggle, the non-readers, the kids whose lights may not be shining as brightly, but whose gifts can be discovered when we take the time to listen and learn from them.
