Today over at Kirkus, I’ve got four new picture books I think you just may very well enjoy.

That is here.

Last week, I wrote here about Ulf Stark’s My Little Small (Enchanted Lion, March 2018), illustrated by Linda Bondestam. I’m following up with some spreads from the book today.

Enjoy!

“‘There, there,’ she says. And she thinks,
‘My very own Little Small.'”

“The Creature closes her eyes and smiles. Now she can image the whole world.
She can even see small things, like dragonflies, beetles, and dandelions,
bright and yellow as the harvest moon.”

“The Creature feels so happy, so she begins to tell stories too. …”

“On her way home, the Creature picks up a sun-warmed stone.
She holds it gently in her hand, like an egg.”
