7-Imp’s 7 Kicks #723: An Unplanned Interruption …
December 27th, 2020 by julesHey, everybody. A quick note to say (from a McDonald’s parking lot where I’m stealing some WiFi) that I can’t do my previously planned post today, because we have been without cell service and WiFi for a couple days now, due to that car bomb that went off in Nashville and wreaked havoc with AT&T’s servers. I hope to be back soon with art and words!
Do tell me your kicks anyway. I may not be able to read them for a while, but I’ll be glad to see them once I’m online again.
Jules: Hope you and yours are safe and sound! 🙂
Hi Imps! Happy Sunday! Hope you are ALL safe and sound!
My kicks from the past week:
by Little Willow December 27th, 2020 at 10:48 am1) Recharged
2) Timing
3) Amused
4) Chats
5) Source
6) Comforts
7) Entertainment
Oh Jules, I have been wondering about you. Other than disrupted Internet and cell service, I hope you and your family are okay.
by Jone December 27th, 2020 at 1:19 pmLW: Chats and recharging are key.
My kicks:
1. Zoom time last Sunday with my brother and grown nieces and nephew.
2. HH zoom with college friends.
3. Christmas dinner with daughter and oldest grand girl.
4. Books.
5. Christmas cookie baking.
6. Naps.
7. Buster continues on the mend.
Here’s to a better new year.
Have a great week.
Jules – hope you and your family and friends are all safe and sound! I have been thinking of you.
Little Willow – love all your kicks, but especially recharged, chats, amused and comforts and entertainment.
Jone – so glad Buster continues recovering well. Yay for Christmas dinner and connecting with family over Zoom, books, naps and cookie baking!
My kicks this week:
1) Surprise presents in the mail. Always a delight.
2) All vegan Christmas dinner from local restaurant Fermenter. All I had to do was heat a few things up, and it was lovely and delicious.
3) A peaceful, cozy Christmas day spent with Daisy.
4) Fire in the fireplace.
5) Mimosas and coffee on Christmas morning.
6) Socially distant gift deliveries to friends on Christmas Eve.
7) Connecting with family and friends via texts and calls.
7.5) Sunshine today!
Have a good week everyone!
by Rachel December 27th, 2020 at 3:35 pmHi! I’m online again. And I’m so grateful you all stopped by, despite an art-less post!
Little Willow, sounds like you had a good week. Recharging. Always good.
Jone, yes, we are over 30 miles away from that blast, but it made a mess of AT&T’s servers, so no WiFi or cell for a few days. I’m glad no one was hurt in the blast (now that I’m able to read about it). …. Sounds like you had a good Christmas. What kinds of Christmas cookies did you bake?
Rachel, oooh, what did you eat for your vegan Christmas meal, if you don’t mind me asking? Glad you had a happy Christmas. Hugs to Daisy.
Have a good week, you all!
by jules December 27th, 2020 at 8:23 pmJules – so glad you all were far away from the blast, and safe. Very sorry that all the wifi and cell service is still down.
The vegan dinner was incredible, and rumor has it the restaurant has the best vegan burger in town, so when they come back from vacation at the end of January I will definitely be trying that too.
by Rachel December 28th, 2020 at 2:55 amDinner was roasted Maitake mushrooms along with winter vegetables and placed on a bed of lentils and then drizzled a rosemary demi glace on top of everything. There was a quinoa and rice salad and a celeriac and cauliflower soup too. And gluten free rolls. For dessert, a raspberry crumble. The kit I ordered was for one but I had leftovers – it was a LOT of food. All delicious.
Rachel, love the fire in the fireplace.
by jone December 28th, 2020 at 11:14 amJules: Sesame Seed cookies (Chuck’s family recipe, Chocolate Crinkles, and Cranberry Hootycreeks (a recipe that you can layer in a jar and give as gifts, basically an oatmeal cookie with cranberries and white chocolate chips)
Mmm. I’m hungry now, you all.
by jules December 28th, 2020 at 12:11 pmHi Everyone, glad to read your Kicks and know that everyone is OK and that you have your WiFi back, Jules!
