I’ve got a review over at BookPage of Dan Santat’s After the Fall (Roaring Brook Press, October 2017). That is here.

Here at 7-Imp, Dan shares some preliminary, behind-the-scenes images (when the book, as you can see, was in third-person). After that are a few more final spreads from the book.

Enjoy!

Some Final Spreads:

“After that day, I became afraid of heights.
I was so scared that it kept me from enjoying some of my favorite things.”

  1. Thank you for and thank Dan! It is so generous to include preliminary and working drawings, and the finals are gorgeous.

  2. I think this is my One Book for this year. You know? There’s always ONE book that especially sings to me, and this is my One PB. I love the concept, the story behind it, and seeing the early sketches is a lot of fun. Thanks, guys!

  3. Love those hilarious cereal titles!
